Have a Little Faith
I happened upon a website for Denise Turney, a writer from Philadelphia who has published several books and writes blogs. I wasn’t looking for it, but I believe it found me for a reason. She’s doing what I want to do: be a published author. There was no jealousy or envy, I don’t roll like that, but I was inspired.
I had another blog almost done, but I elected to write this one today instead. I needed to write it. Maybe somebody out there needs to read it.
I sat at my desk to begin to work and gazed up at a ceramic FAITH sign on the bookshelf in my office.

Then I saw the book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, Ph.D., D.D., on my desk and remembered him writing about having faith. Seeing that sign today made me pause. I realized something.
I need to have more faith in myself and a higher power, and loosen my grip on fighting for my life instead of living it. That’s when you’re in a continuous state of worry, anxiety, or resentment – those low emotions we need to get rid of.
Having faith, genuine faith, is not what I’ve been doing, because otherwise I’d be in a different place, right? Well, not necessarily.
Everything happens for a reason.
To rise above old self-limiting messages, we must replace the old with new thoughts. If we’re constantly battling negative thoughts of scarcity and not being good enough, how can we expect to move forward? So, we have to do all we can to remove those negative thoughts from our minds and have complete faith.
Change our mindset.
We do that by using affirmations, listening to positive affirmations like these from the Wake Me Up channel on YouTube.
Read positive, uplifting books like this one, Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life, from Brian Tracy, or articles like one from Calm.com on Reframing negative thoughts. It’s up to us to make the changes. It doesn’t happen without doing the work.
Take a leap of faith.
I’m taking a leap of faith and letting you know it’s going to be okay. Believe with all your heart that what you want will come to you when you do the required action steps and keep a positive mindset about it.
Also, feel grateful like you already have what you want and really feel what it would feel like having what you want. It’s the feeling that will make things happen faster.

Having faith means believing that our lives are going just as planned and trusting that all we need to know will be revealed as it should be. Since I’ve been having more faith, things have happened, like finding that author’s website. It’s a reminder of what is possible with work, belief, and determination.
Faith is a way for us to believe more in ourselves and know we are on the right path.
Even if it feels like nothing is going right, having faith can help us quell anxiety and let go of the need to control every part of our lives.
Put the ideas out there and have faith that we’ll be guided toward making them a reality.
When I pray, I pray for guidance, to nudge me in the right direction, and that I’ll do the work. I have faith I’ll get that guidance, and I get it. It’s amazing!
Think about a time in your life when you thought you couldn’t handle something or didn’t know how you were going to do something, and you did it. You must have had faith in yourself.
Have a little faith. It doesn’t take an all-encompassing, massive amount of faith to make a change. A little goes a long way. You’ll build your faith muscle like I’m doing. Just believe that you’re not alone and there’s always a way. That’s what I do.
I’m writing these words to share what I have learned and continue to learn as I move through my life. Life is complicated, but we can manage it better when we have faith. Thank you for reading this.

I’m going to close this with a quote my husband created today. “If you disagree with the past, change the present.” That is incredible advice. 🙂
To faith,
Francesca
