Time To Hit the Reset Button On Your Life

Ah, the new year. It’s a chance to wipe the previous year off the slate and start a new, beautiful adventure into the unknown. We get to decide the new course we want our lives to take and get busy going after it. We’re all fired up! Let’s go!
And then February hits, and we slump back into comfortable habits and life goes on, seemingly another year of the “what ifs” and “I wish could” syndrome that goes nowhere.
Hey, I’m not being bleak, just using my experiences to shed some light on this phenomenon. I was always writing down New Year’s resolutions that didn’t come true. It was sad and heartbreaking, and I had enough of that.
So, what are we supposed to do then as the new year rolls around?
Ask yourself, what are you willing to do, what price are you willing to pay to get what you want? Then you’ll know how far you’ll go making it happen.
The new year is supposed to get us revved up to want better for ourselves. We want better for ourselves, don’t we? I know I do. I’m sure we all do.
Good, that’s the first step. But just wanting something isn’t always enough. We’ve got to take some action, too. Wishing is great, but it won’t bring about change until we make it so.
Here is the easiest way to hit the reset button on your life.
- Don’t make it hard.
- Do one thing each day that’s going to make your life better. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Small actions become big changes over time.
- When you want to do something like exercise or something else that you’re not used to, plan to do it for five minutes. Five minutes isn’t a lot of time and not so daunting. If you go over the five minutes, great! If not, that’s okay. If you do that consistently, you’ll get into the habit of doing the action. It will become second nature after enough time.

✬ Do it. ✬
Happy New Year! I wish you peace, love, and happiness for the upcoming year and always! Thank you for reading this. I hope I gave you some inspiration.
To resetting,
